The Fat BRONTE from Maui Bikes is the perfect blend of our BRONTE and ARES models. Following numerous requests to add accessories to the ARES, we simply decided to take the style of our #1 bike and adapt it with large 100mm tires for assured comfort regardless of road or trail conditions. The combination of its 500W Bafang motor and its Samsung battery offers you peace of mind during your rides. For your safety, we have equipped it with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. Enjoy the best of both worlds with the Fat BRONTE: the easy accessibility of a Step Thru electric city bike and the rugged capability of an electric fat bike.

Powerful yet quiet, the Bafang motor delivers satisfying flow whether you’re climbing or descending. Its 500W assistance takes the sting out of any ascent and puts a smile on any rider’s face.

Our bikes offer a pedal assist system combine to a handlebar throttle. The torque emulating Pedal Assist Sensor (PAS) signals the controller to run the motor between 5 levels of pedal assist, providing a boost to your pedalling depending on the level of assist you select while riding. You can also use the on-demand throttle that gives you the power for an instant acceleration or uphill push regardless of pedalling to give you a fully electric ride in case you need some support.
